Young Writers’ Contest

keyboard/penWe’ve launched a new contest for young writers of fiction and poetry. Prizes include $100 cash for 1st Place in poetry and fiction/nonfiction and publication in CSM’s Connections literary magazine.

The Young Writers’ Contest is open to Charles County residents
(9th-12th grade, public and homeschoolers) and CSM students, ages
18-24.

Entries may include poetry (no more than three poems) or
fiction/non-fiction (no more than 5,000 words).

Prizes include $100 cash for 1st Place in poetry and fiction/nonfiction
(1 high school; 1 college) and publication in CSM’s Connections
literary magazine.

To enter, submit electronic files only (MS Word or
plain/rich text files) to Submissions should be submitted electronically to mchristian@csmd.edu by March 17, 2016.

Entries should include the writer’s name, address, email and phone number and a short (up to 50 words) writer’s biography including the entrant’s school and grade/age.
